Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last Updated: March 10, 2026

Yoruba School Australia (YSA) is committed to providing accessible and high-quality learning experiences. This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how refunds and cancellations are handled for classes, events, and digital products.

Class and Program Fees

Fees for classes, camps, or programs are payable at enrolment unless otherwise arranged.

Refunds for Classes

Refunds may be issued in the following circumstances:

  •  If YSA cancels a class or program
  •  Serious illness or emergency situations (assessed case by case)

Requests must be made in writing to:
info@yorubaschoolaustralia.org

Refunds may be issued either:

  • as a credit toward future classes, or
  • as a partial/full refund, depending on timing and circumstances.

Change of Mind

Because class spaces are limited and planning is based on enrolments, change-of-mind cancellations are generally not refundable once a term has commenced.

Where possible, we may offer:

  • A transfer to another program
  • A credit for future enrolments

Missed Classes

Missed classes are not refundable.
Where possible, we may offer:

  • Catch-up content
  • Access to online learning
  • Recorded lessons (if available)

Events and Workshops

If YSA cancels an event, a full refund or credit will be offered.

If you cancel your attendance:

  • Refunds are generally not available due to catering, preparation, and materials costs
  • A credit may be offered at YSA’s discretion if notice is given early

Cultural Trips and Camps

Deposits for trips (e.g., Nigeria cultural immersion) are often non-refundable due to venue and travel commitments.

Specific terms for each program will be provided separately.

Digital Products and Online Learning

All digital products—including:

  • worksheets
  • downloads
  • audio files
  • online courses
  • ebooks
  • subscriptions

are non-refundable once accessed or delivered, in line with standard industry practice.

Subscription cancellations will apply from the next billing cycle.

Merchandise

Refunds or exchanges for merchandise (e.g., shirts, flashcards, posters) will be considered if:

  • The item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect
  • Change-of-mind returns are not accepted

Transfers

If you cannot continue in a program, you may request to:

  • Transfer to another class
  • Apply your remaining fees to a future term

Approval is at YSA’s discretion and subject to availability.
